Mary Laver: Power Chair Adventurer

Mary Laver has been in a power chair for over twenty years. She suffers from severe rheumatoid arthritis, has had both elbow and knee joints removed and is unable to scratch her nose. However she is determined not to let this stop her in her search for adventure.

Mary plans to travel the length of the UK in an Alber Adventure power chair this June to raise money for her favourite charity. Despite already running into problems with bureaucracy, regulations and charities who first backed her and then backed out she is ploughing ahead with her record breaking attempt.
